Psalm 132:13-14 NIV
For the Lord has chosen Zion, He has desired it for His dwelling: “This is my resting place for ever and ever – here I will sit enthroned, for I have desired.”

Zion – temple of God – those who belong to God.
We are God’s dwelling forever. Our hearts, our lives, are to be His throne because He desires it strongly. God has chosen us, so we can be sure that He will not reject us when we come to Him. He will remain in us and with us forever – He will never leave or abandon us. (Heb. 13:5)
Zion – city of God – new Jerusalem – new heavens and earth.
God has also chosen to live with His children. He deserves to be with us forever. We are united in Him and under Him. We are one people with one God and King, forever.
